Every little dice rule
Take turns
- Choose 2–6 players. For highest or lowest total, choose 1–5 dice. Five-dice poker always uses exactly five dice.
- Pass the phone to the named player and tap My turn. Shake the phone or press Shake the dice. Each player gets one complete roll.
- Phone motion only starts a roll. A stronger shake does not change the result or improve the odds. All six faces are equally likely.
- A roll cannot be changed, held or repeated. After everyone rolls, compare the results using the rule chosen before the round.
Highest or lowest total
Highest total: add all dice and the biggest sum wins. Lowest total: the smallest sum wins. Equal sums share the win, even when the individual dice differ.
Five-dice poker: strongest to weakest
Compare the hand type first. The table is ordered strongest to weakest. A five-dice straight ranks above three of a kind and below a full house. Dice have no suits, so there are no flushes or straight flushes.
| Hand | Example | If the hand type matches |
|---|---|---|
| Five of a kind | 6 · 6 · 6 · 6 · 6 | Five equal dice. Compare the repeated face; five sixes beat five fives. |
| Four of a kind | 3 · 3 · 3 · 3 · 6 | Four equal dice. Compare the four first, then the remaining die. Four threes beat three fours. |
| Full house | 5 · 5 · 5 · 2 · 2 | A triple and a pair. Compare the triple first, then the pair. |
| Straight (five dice) | 2 · 3 · 4 · 5 · 6 | Five consecutive faces. Only 1–2–3–4–5 and 2–3–4–5–6 count. The straight ending in six wins; there is no wraparound. |
| Three of a kind | 5 · 5 · 5 · 2 · 1 | Three equal dice, without a pair. Compare the triple, then the two remaining dice from high to low. Three fives beat three fours. |
| Two pairs | 6 · 6 · 4 · 4 · 2 | Two separate pairs. Compare the higher pair, then the lower pair, then the last die. |
| One pair | 6 · 6 · 5 · 3 · 1 | One pair. Compare the pair first, then the remaining dice from high to low. Two sixes beat two fives. |
| High dice | 1 · 2 · 3 · 4 · 6 | No pair or straight. Sort the five faces from high to low and compare one at a time. |
A lovely shared win
If every comparison is equal, players share the win. Roll order never breaks a tie. A new round gives everyone a fresh roll.
Phone shake and privacy
Motion permission may be requested on supported phones. If it is denied, unavailable or no readings arrive, the roll button works normally. Motion readings stay on this device.
